Revati

The meaning

The story of Revati.

Revati lies in the sky in the last Rashi, Meena (Pisces). It appears like a pair of fish. Of the two fishes, one faces the west direction, while the other faces the north. It has 32 prominent stars forming the image of a Muraja, a long rectangular percussion drum, according to the majority of seers.

Revati is ruled by Pusha, one of the twelve Adityas, who is considered the nourisher of the world.

This Nakshatra first becomes active in the 12th year, in whichever house it is placed in the native’s birth chart.

A native born under Revati Nakshatra is favoured by elegant and refined personalities. According to Parashar, they have a tendency to spend more than their income. They are fond of travelling and generally belong to a good family.
