Uttara Ashadha

The meaning

The story of Uttara Ashadha.

The lord of Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra is the Sun, and it is predominantly ruled by the constellation Sagittarius, which is associated with Jupiter. As a result, this Nakshatra has a strong influence of both Jupiter and the Sun.

If a person has favourable placements of Mars and the Sun, it can be highly beneficial. Such a person may possess strong leadership qualities and have the potential to attain a respectable position in administrative services.

Sigma Sagittarii is the junction star of Uttara Ashadha. During summer, this Nakshatra can be visualised in the southwestern sky, appearing quadrangular in shape on a clear evening from locations in the Northern Hemisphere.

For the best view of the star, the months of July and August are preferred. The quadrangular formation, resembling a teapot, is relatively easy to recognise because it consists of some of the brighter stars in the constellation.
