Chitra Nakshatra

Chitra Nakshatra is highly important in the realm of Jyotisha. Chitra is also known as the consort of Savita, who is said to have given birth to the Ashwini Kumaras, as stated in the Mahabharata.

Chitra is one of the brightest stars and is distinct from others because it is a rotating ellipsoidal star. Brilliance and illusion are both associated with this Nakshatra. This combination of seemingly contrasting qualities can make the native misunderstood within the family, while they may be better received and appreciated among friends and colleagues.

Vishvakarma presides over professions and crafts associated with goldsmiths, blacksmiths, carpenters, masons, and other skilled craftsmen. According to tradition, Vishvakarma is regarded as the son of Brahma, the creator of the universe.

Those born under this Nakshatra are naturally attracted to beauty, art, design, and structure. Chitra seeks harmony and perfection, although an imbalance in these qualities may sometimes lead to excessive indulgence.

According to traditional accounts, Vishvakarma created the Pinaka and Trishul of Lord Shiva, the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu, and the divine chariot of the gods, as well as the sphere associated with Kartikeya.

The name associated with the deity, Tvashta, signifies a fabricator, designer, architect, or interior decorator—the one who gives shape and form to objects such as wood, walls, and other materials.

This Nakshatra first activates in the 5th and 20th years, in whichever house the Nakshatra is placed or through planets associated with it.
